We went to the library this morning for Family story time. It was great. Songs, nursery rhymes, and several good story books dealing with Fall. Reagan had a great time. Piper needed a bit more work. It was her first story time and wasn't sure she wanted to sit down and stay.
Here's what we're reading this week:
The Weight of A Mass - A Tale of Faith by Josephin Nobisso, Illustrated by Katalin Szegedi
James and the Giant Peach by Ronald Dahl, Illustrated by Lane Smith
Rude Mule by Pamela Duncan Edwards, Illustrated by Barbara Nascimbeni
The Story of Noodles by Ying Chang Compestine, Illustrated by Yong Sheng Xuan
The Dark at the Top of the Stairs by Sam McBratney, Illustrated by Ivan Bates
The Silver Swan by Michael Morpurgo, Illustrated by Christian Birmingham
Hippopotamuses by Melissa Stewart
Alaskan Brown Bears by Stuart A. Kallen
Gorillas by Patricia A. Fink
I will be reading "The House of the Spirits" by Isabel Allende which I've wanted to read for some time and "Catholic and Christian" by Alan Schreck. I'd really like to start reading some Catholic theology books. But I haven't decided where I'd like to start.
That's the list for this week. Fewer than last, but we're going to California, and I don't want to take library books with us. It's just another opportunity for them to get lost.
