I find it nearly impossible to believe that I was this tired during previous pregnancies, and yet still wanted to do it again. Is it possible that the hormones secreted after birth actually make you so intoxicated with your baby that you forget? Is there such a thing as maternal dementia?
Don't get me wrong. I'm so incredibly grateful to have this little life inside of me. And if this is what I have to go through for a healthy baby, so be it. I just wish I could take better care of the rest of the family. But I'm sooooo tired!
Dominic is wonderful and came home today, let me take a nap, and made dinner. I tell you, that man is heaven sent. I love him so much. GOOD HUSBAND!!
Reagan and I got schoolwork done this morning, but this afternoon I just gave him a list of assignments he could finish while I napped. I know he's still learning. He's decided that he likes Greek myths and has been filling his spare time reading an Usborne book of them. Now he's talking about Zeus, Persephone, and Atlas. It's so great to see a child learn from reading when they just think they're having fun.
Anyway, if anyone has any helpful hints for not feeling like walking death during the first trimester, I'd love to hear them!
