Lots of things are making me happy this week. Like...
Blogs!
School@Home: Tenniel is blogging again. This is the first blog I ever read, and the one that started me on the blogging path. Six years later, and I still read. She's a smart Mama and well worth checking out.
Digital Mom Blog: Maybe it's because I'm a gadget girl at heart, but I had to read a blog called Digital Mom. Molly did not let me down. She's a modern Mama who loves tech, but who puts her family first.
Stuff!
Byerly's (what I call the Nordstrom's of Super Markets) is finally selling my favorite cookie. McVities Digestive Biscuits with the chocolate on one side!
Previously I had to either have it shipped, find it in a specialty store, or bribe friends/family in the U.K. to bring them to me. I'm so excited to get my hands on some McVities!
Music:
Jonathan Coulton: I have to like a guy who has a song that is basically an ode to a Mathematician. And what computer girl doesn't like a song about a Code Monkey? I think I dated that guy once (okay, probably more than once). Of course, thanks to Mr. Coulton I'm now walking around my house singing a very mellow rendition of "Baby Got Back" which is interesting. I wonder if I've got an Oakland bootie...
Random:
I had two IEP meetings today, and I think both went really well! Both Reagan (12) and Ciaran (4) have made so much progress in the last year. I'm really proud of them.
People are reading my blog! I don't know who you are, but I've had about 5 new followers this week. It means a lot to me that anyone reads what I have to write. It's very encouraging, and I appreciate those of you who take the time to visit.
I love to read people's lists of what is good in their lives ... such a refreshing change from the norm of continual complaining. :)
