Trudging Through

Six days on at work, homeschooling, and a ferocious estrogen surge that's left me a weepy mess. And I'm still going. Still teaching Piper her reading lessons, teaching her numbers and letters, and trying to make time to read together. But, our homeschooling isn't going too far beyond that unless something piques her curiosity and we start looking for answers together.

I think this is one of those times that I should be writing about how much we have to be thankful for and how much good is going on in our family, because there's plenty. Instead all I want to write is how I feel completely drained and would love to take a hot mocha to my bedroom and hide for a while. Unfortunately, I don't think that's covered in the contract I signed with the Mommy Union when I hired on. Instead it will be another late night up getting things done, and another early morning back on. And of course there's the obligatory 4 AM visit from Bridget so I don't spend the night alone.

Seriously, could I just have a few extra hours to sleep, maybe I could shake it.
