I watched Dr. Phil today. For one reason. It was SAHM's vs. Working moms. Boy was I ticked by the end. One working mom actually asked "What's the point of going to school and to college if you're just going to stay at home and raise kids?" Excuse me? JUST?
Some of the working moms seemed to have the idea that we're not contributing to society if we're not out there working. I couldn't disagree more. I think I'm contributing to society by raising good kids!
Some women have to work. Some don't have a choice. If you have to work to fulfill some inner need, I have no objection, as long as the kids don't suffer for it. Working moms can raise good kids just as SAHM's can. But these days, it's a battle. Shouldn't we be supporting each other instead of tearing each other up?
Finally, all these moms say that they want what's best for their kids. Well, who doesn't? So, don't put me down and I'll offer you the same courtesy.
