50 Reasons Why We Love Daddy

  1. Because He loves Mommy, despite her many faults.

  2. He works so hard to provide for his family.

  3. He watches our plane on the computer if he's not flying with us.

  4. He plays catch with his children, and has learned to use a soft ball.

  5. He always has time for his wife and his children.

  6. He has patience with Karina, and all of us.

  7. He knows how to say he's sorry.

  8. He snores.

  9. He has a great sense of humor, and can always make us laugh.

  10. He's not afraid to be silly, if it will make his children happy.

  11. He's never stopped loving the Dodgers, even when they're not doing well.

  12. He's full of kindness.

  13. He's a man of God.

  14. He gives good hugs.

  15. He's always willing to listen to what God wants of him.

  16. He has worked and prayed and found peace in his faith.

  17. He's been nice to Mommy when she's crabby and pregnant.

  18. He'll send Mommy to bed and take care of the kids and the house when she has morning sickness.

  19. He's loyal.

  20. He's not afraid to get down on the floor and roll around with his children.

  21. He dances with his kids.

  22. He loved Sarah, and wept when she died. And he wasn't afraid to hold her.

  23. He dances with Mommy when she needs it.

  24. He never fails to tell us all how much he loves us.

  25. He's a wonderful example to our son of what a husband and father should be.

  26. He doesn't care if we make a big deal about Father's Day or not.

  27. He sang Mommy the best song on her birthday, and put it on a cd so she could always listen to it.

  28. He likes to organize.

  29. He stands up for what he believes in.

  30. He understands what true responsibility is.

  31. He changes diapers.

  32. He feeds babies and toddlers and sometimes he cooks.

  33. He'd give his life for any of us.

  34. He loves Lord of the Rings.

  35. He plays board games.

  36. He taught us all to play dominoes.

  37. He's a great big Teddy Bear.

  38. He jumped right on board when Mommy switched Bridget to cloth diapers.

  39. He was totally supportive of homeschooling, and has continued to be.

  40. He always wants what's best for his children, despite what that will mean for him.

  41. He knows all the songs from Veggie Tales, The Wiggles, and Barney and sings them with his kids.

  42. He wants his children to have solid foundation, built on their faith and their family.

  43. He's easy to get along with.

  44. He folds laundry.

  45. He loves with all of himself.

  46. He understands the meaning of the word "commitment".

  47. He knows how to share.

  48. He never gives up.

  49. He has never lost sight of our dreams for our family.

  50. We love Daddy because he's Daddy. And we couldn't ask for more.


Happy Father's Day, Dominic. I love you with all of my heart, and still wonder what I did to deserve you.
